LAUREN GOODE, DVM

Dr. Lauren Goode started her interest in emergency medicine when she took a job as a technician for an after hours emergency clinic in Orlando, FL during her undergraduate program at the University of Central Florida. She knew quickly that she was hooked! Since then, she went on to receive her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Florida, and found every chance she could to be in the ICU. She went on to do a small animal internship at a private practice in Charlotte, NC and stayed on at that practice as a general practice and after hours veterinarian. Two years later she became the first Medical Director for the newly created Emergency and Advanced Care department at that practice. She is now in a non-clinical role supporting veterinarians, and does locum work as well. Her clinical interests are in wound care, soft tissue surgery and trauma. Dr. Goode is also dedicated to supporting emergency medicine as a whole and practice development. In her free time she loves snuggling with her four dogs, Bogey, Cassie, Roxy and Biggie, and her cats Kaufman and Paulie. She and her partner Matt live in Charlotte and love everything the city has to offer.
